  • Ahmed Osman — PRODUCER

    Ahmed Osman is a producer and filmmaker born in Somalia and raised in Wellington. Motivated by telling diverse and inclusive stories, Ahmed has directed the award-winning docu-series Third Culture Minds for TVNZ+, a series on the mental health and wellbeing of young migrants and refugees in Aotearoa. He is the producer of the SKY Originals NZ series Miles From Nowhere and co-founder of Homegrown Pictures.

  • Mohamed Hassan — Writer

    Mohamed Hassan is a screenwriter, journalist and poet from Auckland and Cairo. He is the creator and writer of Miles From Nowhere, a TV comedy currently in post-production with SKY Originals NZ and Red Arrow Studios International. His poetry collection National Anthem was shortlisted for the NZ Book Awards, and his essay collection How To Be A Bad Muslim was published by Penguin Random House in 2022. His poems have been shared widely online, and are taught in hundreds of schools internationally. As a journalist, Mohamed was awarded the Gold Trophy at the New York Festivals Radio Awards for his podcast series Public Enemy.

  • Aamer Rahman — Writer

    Aamer Rahman is an Australian comedian and writer concerned with politics, race relations, and the War on Terror. He has performed sold-out shows at some of the world's largest festivals such as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe. His standup bits ‘Reverse Racism’ and ‘Is it OK to punch a Nazi?’ have gone viral worldwide, and his work has been covered by media outlets such as The Huffington Post, NBC, Slate, Colorlines, Afropunk, VICE and Essence Magazine.
